Latham Road ABOUT THE DEVELOPERS The programs has been developed by Ross Gilmour of Gilmour Consulting Limited and a small team of colleagues. All of the developers are qualified and registered psychologists. Gilmour Consulting is based in Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city. The company provides services in the following areas:
The companies clients include: many government departments, banks, insurance companies, councils, multi-national corporations and a range of New Zealand business both large and small. Ross also runs specialised training programmes in Australia and the United Kingdom. ROSS GILMOUR Registered Psychologist, MA, M.N.Z.Ps.S Ross Gilmour has over thirty years experience as a clinical and organizational psychologist including four years of Human Resources work, six and a half years as a psychologist in the criminal justice field and over twenty years as a psychologist in private practice. In the early years of private practice he provided clinical counselling services to individuals, couples and small groups. Many of the initial referrals from doctors were for people suffering from stress and anxiety disorders and this soon became on of his speciality areas. In 1982 he started running stress and anxiety management treatment for groups with private patients. By 1983 he was also conducting "stressproofing" programmes for organizations which were designed to help people benefit from the positive aspects of stress while avoiding the negative aspects. In the mid 1980’s, in conjunction with Keith McGregor, Ross started conducting organizational stress audits. To date over 15,000 people from a wide range of organizations have participated in their stress audits and organizational surveys. By the late 1980’s, Ross had moved fully into the organizational area and now spends a considerable amount of his time conducting training seminars in the "people skills" area. This includes management training, team building, interview skills, motivation, safety, conflict management, thriving on shiftwork, sleep management and stress management. Ross also works as a consultant for organizations on issues such as the impact of shiftwork, conflict management, safety and managing organizational stress.
